When you work with POMCO you have many printing options available:
POMCO is home to seven offset presses ranging from one to six colors with perfecting capabilities.
Stochastic printing uses smaller, more randomly placed color dots as opposed to the large patterns of color dots that are typically used in conventional printing. Stochastic Printing eliminates the Moire effect and sawtooth edges.
Digital printing is an affordable and convenient alternative for large runs when time is a key consideration. Our HP Indigo Press 5500 produces results that are nearly indiscernible from offset printing.
A printing process based on the principle of the natural aversion of water to grease. We treat the photographically prepared printing plate so that the image will accept ink and reject water.
Also known as itaglio, engraving begins with cutting or incising the image or text into a metal plate, called a die. We roll soft ink onto the die, and then wipe the die clean to leave only the incised image. On the engraving press, we place the paper on top of the die. A stamping press creates tons of pressure, causing the paper and padding to draw ink from the incised lines onto the paper. The result is a dramatic, raised mark with a bruise on the opposite side — the mark of genuine engraving.
Many printers do not offer this elegant and timeless art form, but we at POMCO are the experts and carry out every step on-site. Our facility has the most engraving equipment in the region, and we pass down our knowledge of the art in our in-house training program.
Letterpress is the oldest printing method in which the printed image is raised from the plate, inked, and applied directly to the paper.
Thermography is a print finishing process that produces a raised image to imitate engraving and die stamping. Before the ink is dry on a printed image, we dust the ink with a resinous powder and heat is applied to form a raised image.
After your project is printed, POMCO can perform final assembly operations including embossing, foil stamping, die-cutting, shrink-wrapping, and delivery.
POMCO has converting capabilities to create customized envelopes.
